Supporting a loved one with a serious mental illness can be hard, particularly if they need to be hospitalized. The Family and Caregiver Training and Support (FACTS) Program is here to help. Supported in part by the Garvey Institute, the FACTS Program is a hub for evidence-informed, reliable information, resources, and skills training specifically for families and caregivers*.
The mental health system often overlooks the crucial role loved ones play in supporting people living with mental illness and the FACTS Program aims to change that. The FACTS Program is committed to providing useful information and tools to support family and caregivers on their journey.
*“Family and Caregiver” includes anyone in an unpaid, supportive relationship with a person living with mental illness. This can be parents, siblings, partners, friends, children, a neighbor – anyone who is actively engaged in the person’s care and invested in their recovery.
